green luggage on a green vacation!

When you are going on and eco-friendly trip you need to have eco-friendly luggage to top it all off. At Sherpani Eco-Friendly Luggage they have found a way to start something different for women. With their introduction of the new eco-friendly luggage collection they managed to make their new baggage out of 67% recycled materials. The Sherpani company's newest series of luggage has focused on another quality of their bags which is equally as important. They made these bags so that women could go out for an adventurous day in the woods and then go to dinner at a very fancy restaurant. There idea was to make it look good but tough at the same time.

"Hemp is the favorite fabric choice for many ultra greens because of it’s the awe-inspiring qualities. Fine fawn hemp is unbleached, keeping it soft. Herringbone hemp is thicker and stronger. The natural durability of hemp makes it an excellent, green choice for constructing bags and suitcases.
Hemp can also be combined with cotton to create a stronger, blended fabric that is even more durable. Hemp/cotton duffle bags, suitcases, wallets, and other travel accessories are widely available online and in natural stores."

green hotels

There are hotels all around the world that are trying to make a huge effort on making their energy and water usage lower. They are installing energy efficient lighting, low flow showers and toilets, participating in recycling programs. This is also contributing to the local communities. The one good thing about these green hotels is that no matter your budget there will be a green option for you to find.
"If you can't find a green hotel in your city, you can always take these steps to green-up your stay, and feel good about where you're going.
• Encourage the hotel you choose to go green! Speak with or write a letter to the management, let them know that green options are important to you.
• Let housekeeping know that you don't need them to replace your sheets and towels every day; this will reduce energy AND water usage.
• Turn off the lights, air conditioner or heater, and the electronics in your room while you're out.
• Turn off the water when you brush your teeth, and take a shorter showers.
• Bring your own toiletries, or if you use what the hotel provides make sure to take what's leftover home with you."

More than 300,000 people come to kiss the Blarney Stone each year, in the hopes of gaining more eloquent speech. This was constructed in 1446. The history of the place goes back two centuries before that time. The story begins with a magical stone, its origins shrouded in mystery. One legend says it was the rock that Moses struck with his staff to produce water for the Israelites during their exodus from Egypt. Another legend relates that it had once been Jacob’s Pillow and that the prophet Jeremiah had brought it to Ireland. According to this telling it became the Lia Fail, or ‘Fatal Stone’ and was used as an oracular throne of the Irish kings.
